MY FOLIO
Filling my every day life with colours and figures started already in my first year at school. In my Maths book my zeros got faces, because I felt, that they looked so sad without eyes, nose, ears and mouth. Unfortunately, only I was of that opinion. Provoked by my creativity, the teacher felt that I should rather pay attention to what she was saying, and I was reprimanded and got bad grades. But that did not deter me. During all of my years at school I was drawing - secretly, under the table - for hours, especially, when it was boring. Many years later, during my studies of Fine Arts in Australia, I was finally allowed to express my unrestrained talent openly. Here, I learnt Arts at a broad range: oil-painting, life-drawing, free drawing, portraits, cartoons, caricature, photography, sculpture and pottery. For a well-known restaurant in the wool-museum in Geelong (Australia), whose proprietors also own a vineyard, I designed the logo, business-card, letterhead, menu card, many cartoons along the bar and a mural with typical Australian scenery.
Assignments and exhibitions in Australia and Germany followed after that.
